Luck of the Irish

Love summer vegetables...I'm honestly not the greatest cook...but I think these are so beautiful to photograph.
Hi friends - A quick post to check in and say that I hope to have lots of weddings posted on the blog soon. We're in the midst of planning our own wedding so rather consumed with crafting projects while we're not away photographing on the weekends. I can now relate to all of my brides in so many new ways on the planning front! I hope you are all enjoying a wonderful summer and do check back for new weddings soon - we've been to some wonderful ones this season. xoxo

One of my favorite stories is about the time my mom and dad partied at Studio 54 with Mick Jagger and his wife...I can't remember which one it was - Bianca I think?...but it sounds rather glamorous and makes me think that this was a more interesting time to go out on the town. I mean besides the gritty black and white photography, how many people can you recognize in this shot!:

Last fall, I came just about as close as I think I'll get to photographing one of these evenings. I had the amazing opportunity to photograph a disco themed birthday party at the Four Seasons Biltmore in Santa Barbara planned by the wonderful Maren Parsons and full of I.N.S.A.N.E. designs by Mindy Rice - she's, well, fantastically talented and such a fun person. It was a real joy to work with these two. My friends from Living Cinema were there too which is always great fun and Shannon helped me out on this one.
These bold colors would definitely make for daring wedding style - here is some of the decor from that fun fun evening:

As many of you know, I truly love custom books, boxes, enclosures of any sort! I wanted to share a few new shots of our wedding album and box collection. These are one of a kind pieces made especially with our clients' style and wedding colors in mind. Take a peek at some of the latest designs.

It's hard to believe that it's already July - I've spent an amazing month in Maine (I know, we're all over the place these days) with Thatcher, photographing lots of New England weddings, and getting in some time for personal projects as well. Last week I worked on a little style shoot with my good friend Meagan of Maine Seasons Events We've been wanting to put together a shoot for a while now and thought that it would be wonderful to create a summer garden party table design. Elizabeth Dye generously sent one of her stunning gowns for us to highlight in the shoot. Here's a little preview -

Wishing you all a happy holiday weekend with family and friends! Thatcher and I are off to Deer Isle for some summer fun, fish fry included. This is our one free Saturday for the next six weeks so I'm definitely looking forward to some "us" time before more weddings are upon us. Some of the best events of the summer are still yet to come, including PARIS! You'll want to check back in to see that one - it's going to be a stunner. Keep safe and I'll catch up with you next week.

I'm hesitant to make this post and give away such a wonderful secret about where my latest jewelry favorites are coming from, but I just can't hide it any longer. Kristin Morris's work is amazing and I want to have fabulous parties just so I have an excuse to order up a new piece. I've worn her earrings to a couple of recent weddings and guests literally are scribbling down her name on cocktail napkins - she's just a must have. Check out some of her stunning pieces:

Kristin does plenty of custom work too. She recently made me an aqua number with a gold butterfly that could not be more "Corbin" if she tried. Seriously, check out her work - it's amazing and one of a kind.
Okay, this is going to be a BIG post so grab yourself a cup of tea and stay for awhile. I've had a lot of wonderful design savvy clients lately and Erin is certainly no exception. She has a background in interior design and has recently started a new line of invitations on etsy. Check out her blog erineverafter.blogspot.com for lots of inspiration.
