I'm so honored that Destination Weddings and Honeymoons Magazine chose my image for the cover of their winter issue.  The magazine is on the newsstands now and is lovely!

Ruth & Ed's wedding has gotten some wonderful attention lately and I'm excited to share the massive spread that appears in the current issue of Brides.  8 pages - a photographer's delight!  This was such a sweet wedding - the couple was daring with color and the design from Meagan was full of whimsy.  Judy of Flora Fauna always provides yummy florals for us to photograph.  

A while back I had the great opportunity to collaborate with a wonderful bunch of Charleston wedding professionals on an editorial shoot at The Sanctuary on Kiawah.  The lovely Della and Becky from Smitten magazine put together a fantastic team and it was an honor to be the photographer behind their vision.  Alexandra Munzel of Alexander Styles and Lindsay Nowack of Maddison Row styled the elegant wardrobe, Pamela Lesch was on makeup, Charlotte Belk for hair, and my bud Shannon snapped behind the scenes.  Head on over to Smitten to see the latest (and charming!) winter issue.

Catching up on some recent press!  Michelle and Austin's wedding was featured this fall - designed by the lovely Beth Helmstetter.

Delighted to share this charming Charleston wedding, that was featured in this months issue of Brides.  Aren't the green bridesmaids dresses festive?  Ooh Events styled and planned this gorgeous wedding at Lowndes Grove Plantation.

Have you seen the latest issue of Smitten?  It looks fantastic and I couldn't have been more thrilled when Smitten's editor, Della, asked me to shoot the cover editorial spread.  I'll post some images from that shoot over at The Sanctuary in Charleston soon, but in the mean time, take a look at the beautifully designed cover with my photo!:

I am so thrilled to announce that PDN Magazine just named me as one of the Rising Stars of Wedding Photography.  Look for the article in the December issue.  This is a huge industry honor and I am so humbled by PDN's continued support of my work.  Thanks guys!

This year's bridal market presentations did not disappoint!  I saw gorgeous designs from Romona Keveza, Monique Lhuillier, Lela Rose, and Vera Wang to name a few.  I have to say, that while I found my perfect dress already, I can see how some of the new designs could leave you a little heartbroken if you'r wedding falls before these gowns come out.  It's just my personal taste, but I was especially drawn to the textural elements in Vera's new collection.  The past few seasons have felt like a move in a different, but very inspired direction, and the ethereal quality of her gowns are a dream to photograph.  Check out the new issue of Smitten coming very soon to see my complete coverage of these shows.

I was so truly honored to be included in this month's issue of Brides magazine amongst such a fabulous group of photographers.  Brides approached me awhile back about this feature where they wanted to highlight different styles of wedding photography and of course, showcasing me as a specialist in natural light was fantastic.  This is what I'm all about and I really love it when clients are drawn to the light and airy look of my work.  The soft lighting is so important and it carries through all of my images.  I hope you enjoy the article!
