Happy New Years!
Wishing you and yours a very happy holiday! To the couples stopping by who are recently engaged, my heartfelt best wishes to you at the start of your wedding planning. This is such an exciting time and what an amazing journey the next several months will be! We look forward to hearing from you and talking to you about your wedding plans. To the friends and colleagues who are just stopping by to take a peek at recent work, thank you so much for your continued support. I am so grateful for you and always humbled by your kind enthusiasm for my photography!
I met this darling couple through one of my brides, and from the first conversations about their wedding, I knew I would just be so fortunate to photograph it. First big sell - it's in Ireland! I love Ireland - not sure if I've mentioned it, but not only am I getting married in Ireland as well, but Thatcher and I have been vacationing there for years and it's really our favorite country. That's saying a lot considering how much we both travel. Anyway, these two live in London and wanted me to snap some engagement photos in their neighborhood. I just happened to be visiting a friend outside of London for a pre-Thanksgiving trip, and after a whirlwind few days, I popped into town to photograph this session. There were just so many photos I loved - you'll see below that I found it really hard to choose, hence the massive blog edit!:
These photos just feel so happy to me. I don't know if it's something in the colors, or just that it was a perfectly lovely New England day and things seem to really fall into place in a very natural and effortless sort of way, but I really loved so many of the images that Thatcher and I came up with at this wedding. My dear friend Meagan styled this wedding at The Barn on Walnut Hill. You'll get to see more of this wedding on the newsstands early spring!
A while back I had the great opportunity to collaborate with a wonderful bunch of Charleston wedding professionals on an editorial shoot at The Sanctuary on Kiawah. The lovely Della and Becky from Smitten magazine put together a fantastic team and it was an honor to be the photographer behind their vision. Alexandra Munzel of Alexander Styles and Lindsay Nowack of Maddison Row styled the elegant wardrobe, Pamela Lesch was on makeup, Charlotte Belk for hair, and my bud Shannon snapped behind the scenes. Head on over to Smitten to see the latest (and charming!) winter issue.
Catching up on some recent press! Michelle and Austin's wedding was featured this fall - designed by the lovely Beth Helmstetter.
This little cutie pie completely melted my heart. I've been doing a lot of baby portraits lately and it's such a nice glimpse into the family life of my colleagues, friends, and wedding clients. Holden is my amazingly talented friend Rebecca's little munchkin.
